Rolf Nyhus

Rolf Nyhus (9 July 1942 Nordstrandhøgda, Norway) was a Norwegian international football referee.[1]

Career

He officiated 10 international matches and was FIFA referee in 1969–1985. He attributed totally two matches in 1974 and 1982 World Cup qualifying, three matches in 1972, 1976 and 1980 European Championship qualifying [2] and others were in friendly matches. He also attributed a match in Nordic Championship in 1982 match between Denmark and Sweden (1:1). He appointed two penalty kickes in friendly match between Germany-France (4:1) against one each team and all of them converted which by German Manfred Kaltz in 6th minute and by french Jean-François Larios in 40th minute.[3]

In club football he officiated some UEFA competition matches such as Champions League (5), Cup Winners Cup (6) and UEFA Cup (10).[4] He was referee of 1971 Norwegian Football Cup final that between Rosenborg and Fredrikstad 4:1.
