Under this Roof

Under This Roof was a 1942 play written by lawyer, activist and author Herbert B. Ehrmann in the aftermath of the Sacco and Vanzetti trial.[1][2][3][4][5] Starring in the play, Barbara O'Neil, who played Scarlett O'Hara's mother in Gone With The Wind.[5] It was produced by Russel Lewis and Rita Hassan, directed by Russel Lewis.[4] Scenic designs were done by Perry Watkins,[4] the first African-American to design a Broadway show (working earlier in the Mamba's Daughters).[5]

It appeared in Windsor Theatre since February 22, 1942,[3] till March 7 of that year.[6]
